Why is a Learner Permit important?

A learner's permit is an official representation of your eligibility to practice driving on the public roads of Barbados. If you are a first time permit holder, you are required by law to practice for a minimum three (3) months before applying for the driving examination.

  • Probation Period

    This permit requires first time holder to practice for 3 months

Permit Requirements

Prerequisites for a Learner's Permit:

  • Applicants must be 16+ years old

  • A pass certificate from Regulation Examination

  • A pass certificate from Verbal Examination (PSV only)

  • Proof of Identification

  • A fee of 80.00 BBD
