Why do I need to register a vehicle?
All vehicles must be registered before driving on the public roads of Barbados. Patrons must register vehicles when they are imported to the island whether they are new or used. If there is a change of ownership for a vehicle, the new owner is also required to conduct the registration process.

New vehicles bought from vendors overseas

Used vehicles bought from other countries

Registration Requirements
Prerequisites for a Vehicle Registration:
Customs Declaration (Form no. C63)
Insurance Certificate or Cover Note
Weight Certificate
Examiners Certificate
Registration/Renewal Form (L.A. 33)
Good Vehicle Permit
Letter of Sale/Transfer (change of ownership)
Application forms for Vehicle Registration
Fill out the application forms and submit to our Barbados Licensing Authority offices for review.
New or Use Imports
